2011
  • Entered into a strategic partnership with Transfar Road-Port to expand logistics network in China, adding a gross floor area ("GFA") of 951,354 sqm to GLP’s China portfolio
     
  • Formed a joint venture ("Japan Development Fund") with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board to develop and hold institutional quality, modern logistics facilities
     
  • Acquired a 90% stake in the holding companies of Vailog Jiading Distribution Centre and Vailog Songjiang Logistics Park. GLP has an option to acquire the remaining 10% interest from Vailog, an Italian logistics properties provider
     
  • Acquired a 49% stake of Shanghai Yupei Group Co., Ltd, one of the largest logistics property developers in the China market, with the option to increase ownership interest in Yupei to 50% and on majority of existing property portfolio and all new developments to 85%
     
  • Expanded into Xiamen, increasing our presence in China to 20 cities
     
  • Commenced development of 1.22 million sq.m. of land and secured 1.3 million sq.m. of new and expansion leased area
     
  • Acquired approximately a 53% stake in Airport City Development Co. Ltd., the sole developer in the Beijing Capital International Airport airside cargo handling and bonded logistics area, adding a gross floor area (GFA) of 273,843 sq.m. of completed properties and GFA of 513,000 sq.m. of development pipeline to our portfolio
     
  • Joined the Straits Times Index, the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited's ("SGX") benchmark comprising the 30 biggest listed companies in Singapore by market capitalization
     
  • Tremendous response by the Japanese team after the March 11 earthquake led to the restoration of operations of 68 out of 69 Japan facilities within two weeks after the earthquake
2010
  • Acquired a stake in the parent company of BLOGIS – the second largest provider of modern logistics facilities in China after GLP
     
  • Listed on the main board of the SGX on 18 October, the largest IPO in Singapore since 1993 as at GLP’s listing day
     
  • Expanded into Zhongshan, increasing our presence in China to 19 cities.
     
  • 2010 GLP Amagasaki was awarded the Greenery Prize of the Amagasaki forest for the 21st century from Hyogo prefecture

  • Announced and introduced corporate branding of  "Global Logistic Properties" ("GLP")
     
  • Became the largest provider of modern logistics facilities in China and Japan by floor area with over 250 established customers across Japan and China
